About

Tristan Aitchison graduated in Screenwriting from Screen Academy Scotland in 2010.  His first screenplay The Gift of the Nation was shortlisted for the John Brabourne Big 5 Comedy Award Tristan was part of a ScreenHI writing team, headed by BAFTA winning director Marcus DF White and Mick Martin, developing an exciting new prime time network drama series, Carlochmuir Since then, Tristan has gone on to work with Marcus developing another tv project. Tristan was sponsored to attend the Celtic Media Festival in 2011 and has worked closely with ScreenHI since his return to his native Highlands three years ago.

Two short film projects are currently in differing stages of fruition Care, a guerrilla horror short, edited by former ScreenHI in house editor Catherine Weir is near completion, and Figgy Pudding - a salacious Christmas musical in pre production In early 2013 Tristan embarks on his most ambitious project yet He will travel to Nairobi, Kenya where he’s making a documentary film about the LGBT movement and being gay in one of the most homophobic and intolerant regions of the world He will be writing a blog for ScreenHI as well as posting updates on his facebook profile and website.

We have provided this area of our website for companies and freelance practitioners that ScreenHI has worked with in the Screen and Broadcast industry based in the Highlands and Islands to showcase, network and profile their work and craft.
