About

Maureen recently completed the one day intensive Hit The Ground Running course at goNORTH in 2013, which is where she first came onto the ScreenHI radar Hit The Ground Running gives new entrants and those with some experience a real insight into working as a runner on the set of film and television drama From there, through ScreenHI she was given a trainee assistant director placement on the short film As He Lay Falling written and directed by Ian Waugh, shot in Ardnamurchan as part of the Digicult Scottish Shorts Film Programme.

A native of Badenoch, Maureen has a strong interest in Gaelic and is working towards fluency in the language through Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on Skye She is also a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art wtih a BA Hons in Illustration She has worked under a number of guises as Illustrator from helping patients with terminal cancer providing a therapeutic art class; as an Artist in Residence for a Museum and working with vulnerable children on an art and storytelling project with Children 1st She has exhibited in Scotland, Ireland and Germany and has undertaken some commercial work including Session A9's Album cover Bottlenecks and Armbreakers As well as all of this Maureen plays the harp and piano, has played in and managed for a time Moray based Roads to Damascus who are signed to Melodic Revolution Records in the US and has recorded harp for Italian prog composer Marco Ragni on his forthcoming rock opera.
