About

ScreenHI first came to know Jane when she applied for the Bridging the Gap scheme that ScreenHI has been involved with for a number of years run by Scottish Documentary Institute They did an outreach session in Inverness, where she lived at the time, and she was chosen to go through the scheme with her idea for Sporran Makers.

The film was a success and broadcast on BBC2 Scotland With no prior training this was a great experience and a huge learning curve. To continue that path she began an MFA in Film Directing at Edinburgh College of Art and at the end of two years she completed another short film Caretaker for the Lord and has a feature documentary Garnock Boys in post production.

Jane says that she is particularly proud of Caretaker for the Lord as she shot and edited it herself with no budget It was picked up by two prestigious Film Festivals in America - Full Frame Documentary Film Festival (North Carolina) and Tribeca (New York).

We have provided this area of our website for companies and freelance practitioners that ScreenHI has worked with in the Screen and Broadcast industry based in the Highlands and Islands to showcase, network and profile their work and craft.
